Design
Conceptual/Preliminary/Final Design
Research-based concepts and visitor flow are developed and documented in floor plans, sketches and narratives. Structural and graphic elements are designed in evolutionary phases, documented at each stage for client approval.
Project Management
Coordination/Communication/Schedule/Budget
Skilled project managers coordinate all elements of your project, ensuring completion on-time, on-budget, and to-the-specifications.
Engineering
Safety/Durability/Longevity/Value Engineering
Our engineers and detailers use the most current version of AutoCad to prepare final design and production drawings. Files are easily exchanged with designers and architects, allowing details to become part of the final building drawing package.
Production
Shop/Graphics/Electro-mechanical Interactives
Shop: Design Craftsmen’s modern plant houses standard as well as state-of-the-art machinery.  Woodworking, metalworking & machining, plastics fabrication and finishing are completed on site.
Graphics: Our graphics technicians are skilled at computerized typesetting, art creation and panel layout using a variety of software.  In-house capabilities also include screenprinting, photo mounting, cast-from-life figures, artifact handling and mounting, and natural environments.
Interactives: Hands-on mechanical interactive exhibits plus AV and computer touchscreen interactives are produced in house. Virtually all of our more than 175 major museum projects contain hands-on interactives, ranging from simple mechanical to complex electro-mechanical, electronic, aerodynamic, fluid-dynamic, hydraulic, audio visual, computer and more. We do them all!
Installation
Cleanup/Punchlist/Inspection/Acceptance
The people who build your project install your project. Experienced Design Craftsmen supervisors direct installation, remaining on site until the job is completed.  We’re happy when you’re happy, and we do whatever it takes to make that happen.
